About Vanessa Jayne
Vanessa Jayne is a multi award winning artist who specialises in commissions in oils for portraits, beloved pets and nature. Her work has been exhibited worldwide over the 25 years of painting professionally.
She strives to create a narrative with the viewer.
"The Face of Alzheimers", an intensely intimate portrait of her father in-law, she depicts his fight with this memory obliterating disease, and examines who we are without our memories.
She has endeavoured to use a strong diagonal composition to create a negative space to mirror his fading memory, and used his hand to convey the emotional pain caused by dementia.
This painting won the World Art Vote, was featured on BBC South East, and numerous publications including The Big Issue.
She has exhibited in prestigious venues in UK, USA and Europe. Her work is being collected by the famous
