About Meeta Dani
Meeta Dani is a totally self-taught professional watercolor artist from India. As a child, she had a strong inclination towards all forms of art. She did her post-graduate studies in computer science and worked as a software engineer for over a decade. From 2010, she started painting mostly using oils and acrylics, and began to exhibit her work in local galleries. She gradually developed a strong desire of becoming an artist and started painting in realistic style with watercolors from 2015 onwards.
Meeta’s highly accomplished paintings have received worldwide acclaim within a very short span of time. Light is an integral part of her paintings. She loves using bold colors and people describe her work very strong and crisp.
Meeta is the author of the book 'Realistic Watercolor Unleashed', a comprehensive guide to realistic watercolor paintings for artists of all levels. This book describes all the techniques that are required for painting in realistic style and also explains how to make a strategy for a painting based on the complexity and type of subject.
Meeta is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA), International Watercolor Society (IWS) and American Watercolor Society (AWS). She is now residing in Vancouver with her family.
